Designed for those in the early childhood education industry or those who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies involving children and babies. Includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. Exceeds competitors’ standards by including injury prevention content, CPR and AED.

 

Instructor: Red Cross First Aid Instructor or Instructor Trainer

Completion Requirements: 100% attendance, skills demonstration, and 75% min. passing grade on written exam.

Certification: 3-year certification in Standard Child Care First Aid, CPR Level B, and AED.

Re-certification: 8–9 hours (may not be recognized by some provincial child care legislation, in which case the entire course has to be retaken).
